Why we are based in Coonabarabran
Well frankly we wouldn't want to live anywhere else! My wife, Narelle and I grew up in Coonabarabran and nearby Binnaway. We've raised our 4 children (2 have fledged and 2 still at home) and we have gained so much from being active members of our community. Getting 10 fold back what we give the community.
There's something special about a small town community that always punches well above its weight!
We've got that great mix of pristine dark skies (Nestled alongside Australia's first officially recognised Dark Sky Park), beautiful Warrumbungle National Park, varied sporting clubs, exciting community events such as Star Fest each October long Weekend and this year the very first Star Wars themed Dark Sky Awakening Festival from May 8th - 10th!
We have excellent schools - Coonabarabran High school offers a greatly well rounded curriculum with a focus on STEM, sport, hosting the NW Equestrian Horse Expo each June, great HSC results, school traineeships, a Robotics club, they have their very own flight simulator working in partnership with the local Aero Club and we've barely touched the surface!
A country town at heart we value the Coonabarabran Show, we are on the committee organising all the Industry displays, our daughter Danielle was Miss Coonabarabran Show girl and our daughter Hayley won ribbons in the horse riding... It's all about immersing ourselves and our kids in a great community!
As a business we are passionate about connecting with and collaborating with other businesses to help grow our business and the community as a whole. Our focus is not only in Coonabarabran but across the Warrumbungle Shire.

Meet Guy Andrews, the founder and guiding force behind Guy Andrews Electrical. Since establishing the business in March 2000, Guy has built a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and genuine community connection.
With over 20 years in the electrical, refrigeration & solar trade, Guy brings expertise and a hands‑on approach to every job. He takes pride in the standard of service he and his team deliver, always striving for excellence and ensuring customers receive work they can trust.
Guy’s strong leadership, and commitment to doing things right have shaped the culture of the business and helped create the supportive, community‑minded team it is today.
Mark Milford
Electrician
Meet Mark, who joined the team in 2019 and quickly became a familiar, trusted face across the community. With more than 20 years in the electrical trade, Mark brings a depth of experience.
Mark began his journey with an apprenticeship at Essential Energy, where he spent the next 20 years. This helped shape him into the kind of tradesman people feel comfortable welcoming into their homes and businesses
Mark is approachable, thoughtful, and always willing to lend a hand, whether he’s helping a customer understand their options or supporting a teammate on a busy day. His calm presence and strong work ethic make him someone the whole team values and respects.
Bailey Milford
Electrician
Air Con & Refrigeration Apprentice
Meet Bailey, who joined the team in 2021 to begining his electrical apprenticeship. Bailey has brought enthusiasm and a genuine passion for becoming an electrician.
Bailey completed his electrical apprenticeship in 2024. Never one to slow down, he stepped straight into a new challenge in 2025, beginning an air‑conditioning and refrigeration apprenticeship to broaden his skills and strengthen the services he can offer the community. He’s thriving in the mix of hands‑on work and training.
Around the community, Bailey has quickly become a familiar face friendly, hardworking, and always ready to lend a hand. His commitment to growing in the trade and his down‑to‑earth nature make him a valued part of the team at Guy Andrews Electrical.
Harry Andrews
Electrician
Meet Harry, who joined the team in 2021 through a school‑based apprenticeship, balancing school, work, and study while getting a head start on his electrical career. Even as a Year 10 student, he showed the focus and drive of someone determined to make his mark in the trade.
By late 2023, Harry stepped up into a full‑time Apprenticeship, continuing to build his skills and take on new challenges.
Fast‑forward to early 2026, and Harry has officially become a Qualified Electrician — a huge achievement that reflects his hard work, dedication, and passion.
From a keen school kid to a confident sparky, Harry’s journey has been impressive, and we’re proud to have him as part of the team.
Chris Furley

Meet Chris, one of the most experienced and well‑respected members of the Guy Andrews Electrical team. Chris has been in the electrical trade since 1989, When he joined Guy Andrews Electrical in 2017, he brought with him nearly 30 years of hands‑on expertise.
His calm, steady approach and deep technical knowledge make him someone customers feel confident turning to. He’s known for travelling far and wide to always showing up with a great attitude and a commitment to getting the job done properly.
Within the team, Chris is valued not just for his skill, but being a mentor, a problem‑solver, and a steady presence who helps set the standard for quality across the business.
Meet Harry, who joined the team in June 2023 as an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice, and he’s been making an impact ever since. Most days you’ll find him out on‑site, learning the trade hands‑on and taking every opportunity to sharpen his skills.
He kicked off his formal studies in early 2024, adding technical knowledge to the practical experience he’s gaining in the field.
Harry has quickly become a real asset to the team — keen to learn, hardworking, and already showing natural leadership qualities. His workmanship and strong work ethic shine through in everything he does, whether he’s tackling a new task or supporting the team on a busy day.
We’re excited to have Harry on board and look forward to seeing him continue to grow and succeed in his studies and career.

Meet Kyle, who joined the team in March 2026. After completing his apprenticeship in Tamworth, Kyle made the move to Coonabarabran ready for a new chapter.
Kyle’s friendly attitude and easy‑going nature make him someone people instantly enjoy working with, while his strong work ethic and genuine passion for the trade show through in every job he takes on. Whether he’s on-site tackling a tricky task or lending a hand to a teammate, Kyle approaches his work with focus, reliability, and a calm confidence that lifts those around him.
He’s already proving to be a fantastic addition to our crew, fitting seamlessly into the culture and embracing the community spirit that defines Guy Andrews Electrical. We’re excited to support his growth, watch his skills continue to develop, and see him shine as he builds his career here in Coonabarabran.
Lincon Mcconaugty
School Based Electrical Apprentice
Meet Lincon, who joined the team through a School‑Based Apprenticeship beginning in November 2025. Even before officially starting, Lincon showed he is the kind of young person who wants to understand how things work.
From day one, Lincon has brought an energy that lifts the whole team. He approaches every task with a positive attitude.
What makes Lincon stand out isn’t just his potential it’s his personality. He’s easy‑going, friendly, and instantly likeable, the kind of person customers warm to and teammates enjoy having around. His steady growth, paired with his down‑to‑earth nature, makes him a strong fit for the community‑focused values of the business.

Lawrence McKenzie
Apprentice Electrician
Meet Lawrence, who joined the team in April 2026, from day one, Lawrence has brought energy, enthusiasm, and a “jump in and help” attitude that makes him a standout apprentice. Whether he’s learning new skills, carrying gear, or trying to keep up with Chris, Lawrence is always right there — usually one step behind, but always smiling and ready for more.
He’s picking things up quickly, asking the right questions, and showing the kind of work ethic that tells us he’s going to grow into a top‑notch electrician.
We’re excited to have him on the team and even more excited to watch him develop his skills and confidence as he continues his apprenticeship.
Adam Freeman
Operations Manager
Meet Adam, who joined the team in March 2026 to lead operations in a newly created role supporting our growing team. From the moment he arrived, Adam brought a calm, steady presence and a genuine interest in getting to know the people behind the work — the team, the suppliers, and the community we serve.
With strong management and business experience behind him, Adam works closely with team members and suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly, from day‑to‑day coordination to long‑term planning. He has a natural talent for bringing people together, improving communication, and making sure projects stay on track and are delivered on time.
dam is valued for his calm presence, thoughtful leadership, and the way he helps create structure without ever feeling rigid. He’s approachable, organised, and genuinely invested in helping the business thrive.
Joy Williams
Office Manager
Meet Joy, who joined the team in February 2025 as our Office Manager. Joy quickly became the friendly, steady presence that keeps things running smoothly. Joy brings a wonderfully diverse background to the role, having worn many hats throughout her career.
Stepping into the electrical industry has been a whole new challenge, and while the role has come with a learning curve, Joy has embraced it with her trademark positivity.
Behind the scenes, she plays a crucial role in the day‑to‑day running of the business. She keeps documentation up to date, manages compliance, and ensures the team has what they need to stay organised and on track, among many other things. She’s also the go‑to person for supporting the team with all manner of issues, from scheduling challenges to training needs, always offering patience, clarity, and a steady hand.
Joy has a natural gift for creating order without losing warmth. She listens, she supports, and she genuinely cares about the people she works with — and the community she serves. Her easygoing nature and friendly approach make her someone customers instantly feel comfortable with and teammates rely on.
